Page Rules:
(this may be TANKS! only pet peeve)
1. I write everyone back that writes me.
I expect the same courtesy in return. I do not like
sites that state out front that they will respond to whom they care to. Not only is that
rude, but you may consider how you would feel if the same were done to you. I consider all
mail from people who visit this site as "priority". If you disagree with this,
then we have nothing in common.
2. If I contact you first about trading links, you get two weeks
to post a link back to me or say "bye bye" to yours.
If you need additional time... you can write me.
TANKS! does not like to be ignored and neither do you. If you do not want to trade... say
so! There is nothing more rude than someone wanting to shake a hand and the other putting
their hand in their pocket.
3. If I contact you first about trading links, and I don't care
if you link to me, rule 2 does not apply.
Though, I may break the link at a future time.
The best way to insure against this possibility is to link back to me right away.
4. Award Winners:
Automatically get posted, along with their banner. I
ask for nothing in return except proper installation and respect for the award. The TANKS!
award is not easy to obtain. If you do not post the award, your site will receive a basic
link without your banner.
5. Post my banner and I will post yours.
If not, you get a simple line. Trade means
"fair deal" in the TANKS! world.
6. If you contact me about trading links, you get two weeks to
post my link or say "bye bye" to yours.
Nothing worse than someone asking you to post their
site but they will not do the same in return. TANKS! does not make a regular practice of
making one way links.
7. Do not link to individual pages of this site.
If you want a (for example) French Tank Page, then
make one yourself! Either link to TANKS! or nothing. This bypass' TANKS! page counter, it
makes it appear as though the page belongs to the linking site. The work was done by
TANKS! and TANKS!, justifiably, wants the credit. If I find a site doing this, I will
either break the link or insert code blocking the offending site.
8. Either your link page or the link to this site should be easy
to find.
I do not link to sites that hide or make their link
page hard to find. Once again it is the same as rule 6 above. A site should be proud of
who it associates with.
9. TANKS! reserves the right not to link to sites that are rarely
updated.
Statements like "last updated January
1996" does not make this site feel secure in making a link to that page. We do not
chase down broken links or link to orphaned sites.
10. TANKS! reserves the right not to link to sites that the
author finds "repugnant".
If my Priest would be "turned off" then
your site will not get "turned on" here.
