The last surviving British-built Mk VIII as it appears today in the place of honor at the entrance to the RAC Tank Museum, Bovington. Note ball mounts for the Hotchkiss machine-guns (not fitted) in superstructure and side doors.  Mud chutes are visible on the side.

Cutaway of the Mk VIII shows the engine installation, horizontal radiator in the rear of engine room, chain drive in rear horns, driver's seat and controls, and ammunition racks.

One of the British Mk VIIIs as it left the North British Locomotive Company factory showing the ball mounts in the superstructure side which were main external difference between British and U.S. built vehicles.

The last surviving British built Mk VIII in derelict condition at Bovington in the 'thirties when the tank museum was first established. Cupola has been removed and vehicle still has World War 1 white/red/white recognition markings on horn and superstructure roof.
