
Chris Moore
Christopher Moore joined the faculty of the College of Music in the fall of 2003 as Assistant Professor of Trumpet, having served on faculty of the University of Kansas for the previous 7 years. He has won numerous solo competitions, including the top prize at the International Trumpet Guild competition and the state and regional MTNA competitions. He holds a DMA from the Eastman School of Music as well as degrees from the University of New Mexico and Florida State University. Dr. Moore has performed with numerous professional orchestra and was a member of the Chestnut Brass Company from 1994-1996, winning a Grammy Award in 2000 with the CD Hornsmoke. He currently performs with the Florida State Brass Quintet, the FSU Chamber Orchestra, and the Tallahassee Symphony.
