Childhood Anxiety Treatments (CATs) Project
Started in 1997 the Mission of the CATs Project is to identify the incidence and effective methods for assessing and treatment for childhood anxiety disorders and other unwanted consequences of excessive stress experienced by children. Figley's interested in traumatized children began when he served in the US Marine Corps in Vietnam.

Toddler Anxiety Disorders Assessment Project (August, 2000 - April 2001)
    This study attempted to focus on five children exposed to extreme abuse by childcare workers in a daycare setting. The assessment team devised a protocol for conducting an assessment building upon the "strange situation" test (Ainsworth, Blehar, Waters, & Wall, 1978) and modified it according to guidelines noted by Connell & Goldsmith (1982).

Toddler Anxiety Disorders Treatment Project (April 2001 - December 2001)
This study will attempt to devise effective methods for treating post-traumatic attachment dysfunctions.

Child Trauma Treatment/Services Development Program Center Proposal (August, 2002 - July, 2007)
In response to the Department of Health & Human Services (SAMHSA) request for proposals for establishing a Child Trauma Treatment/Services Development Program Center to provide expertise to improve and provide specific areas of child and adolescent trauma treatment and services.
