This page is provided the Florida State University Traumatology Institute as a public service to those interested in using the Purdue Social Support Scale developed by Sandra Burge, Ph.D. and Charles R. Figley, Ph.D. at Purdue University in the early 1980s and revised since that time. The most recent version is here. The psychometric properties were published in Burge & Figley, 1987. A copy was included in the appedix in the book, Helping Traumatized Families (Figley, 1989).
