Ambiguous Loss is experienced by people who are uncertain
about the reality, nature, and consequences of a major loss in life, especially
the death of a loved one.
The Tri-State Crematory, located in Walker County, Georgia and close to the
state lines with Tennessee and Alabama is one of the most notorious cases
of misconduct by professionals responsible for the remains of the dead. To
date (6March2002) a total of 339
bodies found and only 100 conclusively identified.
