CLASS FORMAT: Seminar approach with discussions and visual presentations. Exploration of the design elements and principles and how they relate to the costume designer, including analysis of costume design work. Project oriented classes, including design projects and rendering techniques.

PROJECTS: Will be of a visual format--renderings & swatches. Project renderings will be assigned as semester progresses. (15% for each project--for a total of 60%)
FABRIC NOTEBOOK: An identification notebook of fabric samples (2" x 3") will be collected and organized. Fabrics and fibers and their characteristics will be discussed.(10%)

ABSENCES: Only ONE unexcused absences will be allowed.
Tardiness will not be tolerated.
Attendance--for each unexcused absences, final grade will be lowered
by one whole grade-for example: an A becomes a B.
If for some reason you cannot be in class the day your assignment is due, it is your responsibility to submit your work before--not after--the scheduled class.
