| Announcing the 2001 Team
Winners The Donoho School of Anniston stopped Kitty Stone Elementary's bid for back-to-back-to-back team championships by medalling in 16 of 28 events enroute to the ESO 2001 team title, Donoho's first team championship since 1998. Kitty Stone of Jacksonville finished second, Faith Christian of Anniston took third, Sylacauga's Mountainview fourth, White Plains fifth, and Gadsden's Mitchell Elementary sixth in the overall team standings.

The Big Bucks Reflection Relay gold medalist Brandi Taylor of Glencoe Middle School went home $100 richer on ESO Saturday. Taylor was the winner of the Gold Medal Drawing of 63 first place winners. The prize: a $100 Savings Bond complements of AmSouth Bank of Jacksonville.
What a Design! Made completely of pasta and glue, Kitty Stone Elementary's Pastamobile, designed by Ari Loucks and Jesse Godby, traveled nearly 70 feet following its launch from a 1 meter ramp. The vehicle finally came to a stop just inches from the wall at the opposite end of the Jacksonville High School gymnasium. Take a look...
