Amphibians & Reptiles
Students will answer questions pertaining to amphibians' and reptiles' structure, life history, behaviors, habitat, conservation, distribution, taxonomic relationships, voice, and identification of order, family, and/or genus.

Students try to locate words pertaining to a particular category in a letter grid similar to the game Boggle.

Bridging the Gap
Teams attempt to build a strong bridge with the greatest span using materials supplied at the competition.

Teams of two students tackle challenging scientific mindbenders containing clues to an overall puzzle.

Crash Landing
Students design and build a contraption onsite from predetermined materials to safely protect a raw egg dropped from a high place.

Extinction is Forever
Teams of two students will be quizzed on organisms which have become extinct, are on the endangered or threatened lists, or have been removed from such lists and the reasons behind these plants' and animals' extinctions or endangered statuses.

Students are quizzed on their knowledge of nutritional information.

Metric Mastery
Teams comprised of two members each will use various devices to make numerous measurements expressing their answers in metric units.
