Fox Wright - A Short Bio

Aron Wesendolph Wright, Jr. was known as "Fox" to his many friends. He was born in Albany Georgia on July 1, 1932 to Eloise J. Floyd and Aron W. Wright, Sr. The family moved to Tallahassee in 1942, and Aron attended the Lucy Moten School and Florida A & M College. He graduated from Florida A&M in 1952 and was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army.

His military service was with an Artillery Division and then the 11th Airborne Division. He had tours in Camp Stuart, GA, Norfolk, VA, Ft. Campbell, KY, El Paso, TX, and Munich, Germany. After his military service, he went back to school, and earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama in 1961. He became a Federal Meat Inspector for Poultry and worked in California's Sacramento Valley for the next 20 years. He returned to Tallahassee in 1983 when his father became ill.

He lived with and cared for his mother until she passed away in 1996. During this time, he devoted many service hours to the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous, and shared his experience, strength, and hope with so many people. He married Debralee "DL" Faust LaSeur on November 14, 1998. He is survived by his wife, DL, and his brother, William F. "Spike" Wright, also of Tallahassee.
