An organization consists of living beings, not positions, so to provide
transformational leadership, organizations must embrace the concepts of
honesty, trust, special treatment, and courage (James
Autry in his book Love and Profit, The Art Of Caring Leadership.)
Some of the thoughts of this group concerning leadership are:
Be aware of employee needs.
Be proactive in recognizing employee needs.
Know that power comes not only from your organization but also from
other people in that organization.
Trust your employees.
Intimidation is not power.
Manage for the best within us.
Remember that there are no secrets.
Life is short, enjoy your work and have fun.
Be upfront and honest.
Trust encourages a good working environment.
Create a place of ownership where people can share success.
As leaders, we should support a positive culture.
Work on an environment that supports communication without fear.
Don't confront a group about problems created by one individual.
