Assist in development of modern computer operations in relation to the preparation of photographic materials for publication. Use Adobe Photoshop and Windows on IBM-type PC; some work on MacIntosh computer, Novell and Sanyo equipment as well. Responsibilities include: Organize photos and label with bar codes for capturing. Capture images into electronic medium for storage prior to enhancement. Maintain optics and related lights and equipment. Establish proper valves into calibration channels. Enhance images (B&W and color) for publication and ensure quality (cropping & cleaning). Store images in proper files. Trouble-shoot all processes to maintain a smooth operation. Back old information onto archival tapes using ARC-SERV. Postscript photos and transport them to respective pages. Quality check pages for accuracy of photo placement.

TEAM LEADER. Vista-Chrome, Inc. (formerly Homes and Lands), Tallahassee, Florida. March 1985 to May 1993. Produce black and white halftones for printing in Real Estate magazines. Proficient in the use of NU-ARC camera and Autokon Laser Scanner. Worked with Bedford Computer in conjunction with laser scanner. Trim halftones in preparation for add layout and paste-up. Evaluate black and white tones and dot patterns to assure quality control. Supervisory duties include scheduling and coordinating employee work hours for evening shift and interviewing prospective employees.


PHOTOGRAPHER. Self employed. February 1986 to present. Produce black and white and color photos as well as color slides for various local businesses and publications. Can bulk load black and white and process and print both black and white and color in home darkroom. Well trained in many types of formats, including 35 mm and 2 x 2 .


MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN, SPEC 4. Florida Army National Guard. July 1981 to July 1987. Responsibilities included maintenance of all lab equipment, supervision of personnel, and routine reports. Lab tests performed included routine urinalysis, microscopy, parasitology, blood typing, blood cell counts (WBC & RBC), bacterial culturing, slide smearing. Responsible for operating the autoclave for all instruments in the facility. Filled in as nurse's assistant; performed vital sign checks.

ASSISTANT MANAGER: PHOTO PRINTER. Snap Shop/Camera America. Tallahassee, Florida. July 1984 to January 1985. Assisted Manager with management duties, opened and closed store, closed cash register. Responsible for printing color prints on Norritsu Printer, film processing, and quality control. Responsible for mixing chemicals.

PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER. Promark Photo. November 1983 to February 1984. Traveled throughout North Florida, South Alabama and South Georgia. Set up portable studio to shoot formal portraits. Handled lighting and camera equipment as well as backdrops, record keeping, payments, and customers.


STOCK PORTER. Russell Stovers, Tallahassee Mall, Tallahassee, Florida. July 1982 to September 1983. Sales, stock inventory, stocking, and cleaning. Part time position while attending school.


INVENTORY CLERK. FTP/NEA (Florida Teachers National Education Association), Tallahassee, Florida. September 1981 to December 1981. Temporary part-time position. Assisted with clerical tasks and mail room duty.
