In February 2000, renowned Chinese poet Bei Dao visited the Florida State University. On 26 February, after two days of activities such as poetry reading and lectures, Bei Dao and students from Chinese classes went to the State Park of Wakulla Spring near Tallahassee, where they enjoyed a memorable picnic.
