CHI 1120 Elementary Chinese I |

This beginning class is
for students with no previous knowledge of Chinese. It introduces
Chinese pronunciation system and teaches elementary-level vocabulary
and grammar. The course is not repeatable. You may
register with this course if you 1) have never taken
"CHI 1120" or 2) will not take "CHI 1120" later after
returning to FSU campus. Otherwise, take "FOL 3930 Intensive
Chinese I" instead. |

This is a beginning-level
conversation class. It focuses on Chinese oral skills by using language
materials organized in terms of functional topics. Students in Track One
who take "Intensive Chinese I" should register with this course. |

This class is for
students who have had one or two semesters of Chinese on the college
level. It teaches vocabulary and sentence patterns at the
intermediate-low level. The course is not repeatable. You may
register with this course if you 1) have never taken "CHI 2220" or 2)
will not take "CHI 2220" later after returning to FSU campus. Otherwise,
take "FOL 3930 Intensive
Chinese II" instead. |
