John Stossel, one of three judges for the final presentations, was impressed enough with my teaching to award first place in the 2008 Economics Communicators Contest at the APEE meeting.

FSU values what I do in class and awarded me a 2008 Undergraduate Teaching Award.

The newest members of Phi Eta Sigma, a national honor society, presented me with their Excellence in Teaching Award for 2008, 2007, and 2006.

I am an active member in the Association of Private Enterprise Education, Southern Economic Association, and the National Council for Economic Education.
