life is what's fun when
the day's begun and a ray
of sun-shine hits the grey
on the sidewalk in the middle
of the riddles they tried to
tell you to make you frown
when i was around.
it's them, not me.
life is free and i'm
looking for more in the cold
of the world where i first
saw the flowers thirst for
jewels on the canvas of
life between the rules.
it's them, not me.
i'm free and i can fly
out of my mind and into
my world where time can go by
outside, but i'm still safe
in my place, my escape;
in my mind, i'm still happy.
