MAE 5655: Computers in Mathematics Education (Course Reference #: 34451)

This course will focus around Integrating Computers and other Technology into the Teaching/Learning of Elementary and Middle School Mathematics.

Major Topics focused around Elementary and Middle School Mathematics:

By the end of the course, participants will design a mathematics program for their classroom/school with technology integrated throughout. Teams from a school are encouraged to participate. We will meet the class in the schools part of the time and will build from the interests and perceived needs of the participants.

This course can count for recertification in a number of areas, be part of a number of degree programs, as well as count as part of a College-Wide Technology Certificate Program.

The First Class meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 1997 in 124E, Stone Building, where we will identify interests, perceived needs, and school sites to visit.
