Sean D. Ehrlich

Professor Ehrlich joined the faculty at Florida State University in the Fall of 2005. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago.

His research and teaching interests include international and comparative political economy, trade policy, democratic institutions, globalization and research methods.   His book, Access Points: An Institutional Theory of Policy Bias and Policy Complexity, examines how the amount of access provided to interest groups affects the level of bias in trade policy, environmental policy, and banking regulations and the level of complexity in trade and tax policy.  The book is under contract with Oxford University Press.  His articles have appeared in International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, European Union Politics, Foreign Policy Analysis, and Business and Politics.
