Course Description
This course examines the growth of cities in the colonial Atlantic world, between roughly 1450 and 1850. It will include cities in North and South America, Europe, the Caribbean, and West Africa and will consider the cultural, social, and economic interactions between cities in these regions.

It will next be offered in Spring 2005.
