JOHNSON: David W. Johnson and Frank P. Johnson (2009). Joining Together: Group Theory and Group Skills (TENTH Edition). Pearson; paperback; ISBN = 0205578632

A lot of Johnson and Johnson is exercises and applications so don't worry that you can't manage the readings.

Please be careful to ascertain the correct edition.
