About Timothy Long

Mr. Long has ten years of Hollywood screenwriting experience. He has written thirteen feature-length screenplays, two of which were produced and another two optioned. As a writer, he has had dealings with TriStar, Universal and Castle Rock, to name a few.

Mr. Long's last produced script was a 15 million dollar feature film entitled Shanghai 1920, shot entirely on location in China, and starring John Lone (The Last Emperor, The Moderns, The Shadow). His other produced script, Undeclared War, starred Olivia Hussey (Romeo and Juliet, Lonesome Dove) and was directed by famed Hong Kong director, Ringo Lam (Maximum Risk, City on Fire).

In addition to working as a freelance script consultant, Mr. Long is a Visiting Screenwriter at Florida State University, a top ten rated graduate film school where he teaches screenwriting and story.

He is currently at work adapting his recent novel, Surviving Hope, into a screenplay.
