Second International Conference on Earth Observation for Global Changes (EOGC 2009) in Chengdu, China, 25-29 May 2009
This conference is sponsored by the ICA Commission on Mapping from Satellite Imagery. Dr. Jonathan Li, Vice Chair of our Commission, serves as Chair of the EOGC 2009 Scientific Committee. EOGC 2009 will produce several publications including a Springer book, three journal theme issues and a conference proceedings. Here are some important dates:
- Abstract submissions: December 31, 2008
- Full paper submissions: Januray 31, 2009
- Notification of acceptance: March 1, 2009
The 2008 Joint Gi4DM and ISCRAM- CHINA Event in Harbin, China, 4- 6 August 2008
The 4th International Symposium on Geoinformation for Disaster Management (Gi4DM), which will be jointly held with the 3rd International China Workshop on Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management (ISCRAM- CHINA) at the Harbin Engineering University, Harbin, China, from 4 to 6 August 2008. Dr. Jonathan Li, Vice Chair of the ICA Commission on Mapping from Satellite Imagery, serves as Chair of the Scientific Committee for the Symposium. A fundamental goal of this Symposium is to promote dialogue on disaster management problems in their entirety by considering geospatial technologies applicable for emergency and disaster management, as well as particular user requirements for spatial data and standards.
